AT THIS TIME WE ARE ONLY  ANNOUNCING  TRYOUT DATES FOR NON-NATIONAL BOUND YOUTH BIRTHYEARS  2015 - 2010 and Girls U8 to U12. THIS REGISTRATION INCLUDES THE NTB REGISTRATION LINKS so feel free to register for those if desired.  This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for participation, and submit payment. Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately. To complete registration through our secure site, please have your Visa or MasterCard information available.

The Cleveland Barons will be holding open tryouts for all of their youth teams, from birth year 2015 thru U18 Midget Major, along with Lady Barons U8 thru U14. The coaches and directors will work together to pick the best teams possible. 

Cleveland Barons Elite teams will play in the Tier 1 Elite League as they have in the past, Cleveland Barons Black teams will play in a league and division that is fitting for their particular team and the Lady Barons will be independent.

All players in attendance are considered to be trying out to be part of "The Cleveland Barons Program".

All  players MUST register online to tryout. We will not accept any payments at the door. If you do not pre-register online you will be asked to register online when coming to the first tryout. You must have a credit card or checking account information in order to register for tryouts. The cost of tryouts are below. Along with your tryout cost we will charge an additional $300 commitment fee for youth teams; $500 for U14 and older.

Upon making a Barons Elite or Barons Black team, the commitment fee will be applied to your balance for your team fees. If you do not make a team, your $300 / $500 will be immediately refunded to your account. NO CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED FOR TRYOUTS!

Please Note: During tryouts, if you receive a phone call or e-mail from the coach of the team you have been selected to play for, your commitment fee will be immediately applied towards your team fees.

Non refundable - Cost for Tryouts:

• 2015 - $80.00 
• 2014 - 2010 - $80.00 
• 2009 (U14 boys) - $80.00
• U15, U16 & U18 - $110.00
• U8 Girls - $30.00 
• U10 Girls - $30.00
• U12 Girls - $30.00
• U12 Girls FULL TIME- $80.00
• U14 Girls  - $80.00

Commitment Fee Information
If you are signing up for tryouts you are agreeing that if you are selected for a team you will play for that team. If you choose not to play for the team you are selected to you will not get a refund.

Fees for all teams will be determined soon and will updated on this link and our website as soon as they are ready.

All teams are based on a 17 player roster unless otherwise noted.  Some teams fees may adjust up or down based on showcase schedules and if teams take more or less players. 2013 Elite thru Midget Majors teams will have their own locker room for use  from September thru the end of their seasons. Barons Black teams will not include a locker room. 

Fees also include such things as participation in leagues, coach's pay, skills sessions, 3 hours of ice per week, home games, off ice training,  along with district costs for teams that are national bound. Midget Major and Minor teams will also include some travel costs i.e. bus travel and Majors will also include hotel cost for the players.  All team cost vary in what they teams will receive in fees and this will be broken down and handed out at tryouts.

Please Note:

• Pre-registration is mandatory and will be closed 12 hours before that particular tryout begins. If pre-registration is missed, we will have iPads available at the door for you to register online or email baronshcky@gmail.com to possibly reopen if able.
• 2014 - 2009 birth years must tryout for their own birth year. Players that previously played up must get approval from Tom Goebel Jr. to be able to continue to tryout for an older team. If you do not have approval, you will not be allowed on the ice of that older aged team for tryouts. If your daughter or son is a 2016 player, you may tryout for the 2015 team since there is not a 2016 team available for the upcoming season.
• Cost will not be prorated if you cannot make all tryouts. NO REFUNDS will be issued. 
• Cost includes a tryout jersey.

Each Player must register with their 2022-2023 USA Hockey Registration number. If you did not register for the 2021-22 Season, you must do so below:

• Step 1:  CLICK HERE to go to USA Hockey Registration and register your player(s). Be sure to PRINT and SAVE their confirmation code(s). Remember to register EACH of your players with USA Hockey. Each player must have their own unique USA Hockey confirmation number.
• Step 2:  Return to this registration and proceed. Later in this registration session you will need to enter the USA Hockey Confirmation Code that you received in Step 1.
